A few weeks ago I did a guys trip with some friends down to Baja.  The first day we drove from San Diego down to my friends house in Bahia De Los Angeles (LA Bay).  I love this drive.  It's about 8 hours from San Diego and after about half way it just turns to incredible desert.

And my friends dog Johnny Walker Black jumps right in the water when we arrive

View from my tent

The next morning we left for San Francisquito.  It's only about 85 miles but takes 4 hours due to the rough road.  It doesn't look so bad but the Yak rack on my friends truck rattled so much the bolts broke.

Old jail just outside of town.  It was primarily used to throw drunks in until they sobered up.

San Rafael Fish Camp

San Francisquito.  Camped right on the beach for $5/night.

Making Yellowtail Poke

Some of you may remember how I broke down a couple years ago and walked 8 km until I was rescued by a rancher.  I visited him on this trip to say thanks.  His ranch is awesome.

Beef jerky

It was an awesome trip that didn't involve much more than sitting on the beach and hanging out with friends.

Nice pics man!  I've off-roaded down to Punta San Francisquito once too,  on the same road as you.   It's a good one.   One of the best off-road trips i've done in my life.

Did you get to meet Howard in Punta SF ?  He's a super cool gringo local.
