Hey Guys I'm going to go run Heartbreak Ridge & Pontiac Sluice on July 1st. Anyone that wants to go is more than welcome. Be Prepared,the Pontiac Sluice is rated a Black Diamond Trail. I also plan on running the 2N70Y (black diamond) offshoot on the return trip to Hwy 38. Both the 2N70Y and Pontiac Sluice are optional off shoots. I'll be at the corner of Hwy 38 & 2N01 @ 9:30. The coordinates for the spot are as follows: 34°12'26.61"N 116°44'16.35"W I've never run the sluice and have only been on heartbreak once with SCCX, so we have take a couple unintentional detours, but that's all part of the fun right? Here is a video I dug up online to give a little preview of what the trail is like. it's not too crazy but should be a good day with a few obstacles and a chance to meet a few new people. This video doesn't show the harest part of the trial. Please post up here if you're going to go so I can get an approximate head count. Thanks and see you on the trail!  |

oh damnit. I thought it was tomorrow.  I just asked this in my new join thread, but i'll ask here too...how long do you guys think the trail will take? I have to be in oceanside by 5:30-6:00 PM Sunday (2:45 drive from big bear lake). If we get on the trail by 930, do you think we would be done around 2 ish? |

I would like to make a compilation video of tomorrows run and post it up on your tube afterwards. if you've got a go-pro and don't mind me using your footage. please bring your go pro, video stuff and I can get a copy of it at the end of the run.

Hay Morgan (and anyone else) since the primary meet spot (34°12'26.61"N 116°44'16.35"W) is off the 38 it makes the most sense to pre meet at this 76 station in Mentone:
Circle K/76
1702 Mentone Boulevard Mentone, CA 92359
Since it takes about an hour to get to the primary we should meet at the pre meet spot at 800 am

Also. Ill be on cb channel 22 and Ham 145.520 simplex but I do encode a 100.00 pl on my signal in case you need to filter other chatter or use the chime etc on your radio.
