Just got back from this year's Top Truck Challenge.  The competition was held last week in Hollister, Calif.  I didn't get to see too much of the competition as I had my own stuff to do, but I snagged a few pics here and there when I took a break.  Where I was based was right in the middle of several of the comps.

My home for the week and our tow rig.  I got really spoiled driving the new Ford F350.

Trucks like this kept driving past camp.  The black one is one of the competitor's tow rig.

First comp called the frame twister.  One guy was tearing down what was left of his rockwell axle knuckle with a pair of vise grips.  Saw him driving it out later.

About 50 feet down the hill from my toyhauler was the "mini-Rubicon."  Big effin rocks with big effin holes along the way.  Bear in mind the tires on most of the buggies were at least 48s.

Sometimes when your wheels point in opposite directions, you need to take the strap.

And here, this is what straps you.

Few more truck shots in and around the comps.

Low-buck suspension on the Willys.  This guy did great; was a total underdog.

A couple neat trucks parked around.  Even the ice cream truck kicked ass.

And in case you want to run a stack, but drive a Toyota, no problem.  Just use a cherry bomb.

I wish.  The toyhauler is a test bed for the mag I contribute to and the truck is a media loaner from Ford.

Yes.  Got there the day prior and left the last day; skipped the awards ceremony though.
