You can always verify links yourself. Search for a freeware called "Sandboxie" and use it to open unverified or suspicious links within a walled "sandbox". It can also use it to install programs or open files / pics / pdfs. The moment you close it (or delete the "sandbox") everything you did in there gets destroyed. 

As I recall, many of you are avid photographers and take a profuse amount of pics at every event, so here's another promotion for Digital Photography magazine:
