I'm planning on running 35s.  I was planning on buying a pathy axle with discs, but if I buy something else, I guess I look for a 9", D44 or D60.  I thought they made 5.38s for the H233B.  hmmm, more research I guess.

nope , steevo was gonna try and get some made up but the cost was ridiculous

5.38's are gonna be a bit much for 35's though

well, I was wondering how low they were going to be.  5.13s would have brought my ratio back to stock or really close to with the HG46 and 235 that it came with.  but for $50 I couldn't pass it up.

You'll be fine with either ratio. You'll turn about 300 more rpm on the highway @65mph with the 5.38' than with 5.13's

well, work is going slow, that sucks, but still making progress at least.  been cleaning up pieces off the 2nd D44 I picked up.  went to the j/y today to look for a r/s backing plate as the one that was on the axle was driven on the road, about 2" ground off of it.  no luck finding a backing plate but did find a r/s flattop knuckle for $10 off a 74 3/4T chevy.
