very stable and far exceeded my expectations for handling for no sway bars on a tall truck on highway and hard corners. suspension seems to flex and take everything in stride very nicely.

I was glad to see Rugged Rocks mentioned on last weeks show. Also nice to see them upgrade a D40 Frontier. Looks like they used gears and kits from RR.

 cheers

Pretty cool. I just bought my 7th VG powered nissan. I plan to rebuild one day. I just want to upgrade exhaust studs and relocate oil filter. The oil filter up front is so awesome!

You only need a Quest 1st gen oil pump and d40 pickup tube and mount.

Greetings all,

My name is Brian and I am from San Diego, Ca. Last year I imported a 1988 GQ Patrol from Australia and have been having a blast off roading.  I have been importing cars from Japan and Australia for a while now and jumped on a Patrol once they were legal.

My GQ is a long wheelbase model and is mostly stock aside from a 3 inch lift and some 33 inch tires. Mine happens to be the gasoline powered tb42 with five speed. I was new to off roading when I brought it in and I've been really surprised at how much I'm enjoying it. So far I have taken it to Superstition, Ocotillo, Big Bear, and Big Sur, along with as many local runs as I can get to. I missed out on Gonemoab this year as I didn't learn about it until just before.

I have a few videos on YouTube if anyone is interested. Just type in "Nissan Patrol at Pancake Rock" and there a shots from different runs. I will work on getting some pics up for you guys as well.

Brian

Alright so I got my links all welded in and got a good majority moched up. Found a nice spot under the frame for the coils so they are outboard as they can possibly be. I decide to ditch the conventional thoughts and make an upper control arm system over using a Panhard bar. I'm not a fan of Panhard as they create side arc to the natural flow of the links to axle which arc the other way. I just find this waggy side to side feel unattractive so I'm deleting it.

maxing the 34 degree center joint no problem. 15in travel to boot without and driveshaft clearances taken into affect

how about it steve got any custom coilovers to throw my way before we head to moab in august? would be great to meet you

So, getting picked back up eh?  This has been in the works for nearly 5 years now.  Why should we believe it's going to happen?

For quite a while now I've been kicking around the idea of having 4.10 gears cut for the R180.
I really thought that most people would want to titan swap before gearing that low but it looks like there are quite a few people that have expressed otherwise on other message boards. So, now I'm bringing it to the nation to see what you guys think.

How many of you guys would be likely to buy? and in what kind of time frame?

In order for me to keep a proper count all the feedback organized, Please comment on the blog post here:

Thank you for your feedback.
