Title: How to re-key a new X so the remote and key are one? Post by: 2012PRO4X on March 15, 2012, 03:15:25 PM I just purchased a new 2012 Pro4X and the ket and remote are two seperate entities. I knew this when purchasing of course, however it is now a pain to deal with. Has anyone had any success with taking another Nissan vehicle key where the key and remote are married into the same unit?
This is pretty antiqauted as to the seperate remote and key and want to see if there is a fix somewhere? When I presented this question to the local Nissan dealer, the response was ("we will have to cut a new key and try to re-program it to your X before we will know at a cost of $175.00++") This didnt make sense to me as I would think they would have already had this question posed?
