Title: On Board Air Install
Post by: salad_man on December 10, 2009, 06:15:27 PM
Started to hook up my on board air set-up. Got a tank from sears for about 25 dollars, 5 gal. 135 psi, and got a great deal on a 380c Viair compressor that should be here next week, and an assortment of home depot fittings. Mounted the tank where the spare tire usually sits right behind and above the rear axle, compressor will be mounted right next to it. Wiring is in, just need to make up my mind as to where to mount the pressure gauge i want in the dash.

Sweet!  No paying for air fills, for you.   You gonna mount an air chuck on the bumper or something?

if ur a good welder then u dont need to worry. If someone said "hey, can u patch up my gas tank for me? I dont have enough to get a brand new one." What would u do? If u know the right way to do it and not blow half the block off the map, then id say weld it. Oh to pach the gas tank u fill it completly full of gas then u weld it shut. Gas dosent ignite. The fumes do. lol. Im a loser, I know.
