Title: What Product should come out next?
Post by: SteeevO on July 22, 2011, 10:42:52 PM
I'm going down the list that I've talked about numerous times during the beginning of the year and one by one I'm getting these projects done. Both 3.3L and 3.0L V6 HD Motor Mounts are in stock, 3.3L Doug Thorley Headers are on the shelf ready to ship. The 4-Link suspension kit has been tested on the WD21 (pathfinder) platform, and it'll be installed on a D22 (frontier) next month. After writing the install instructions and building more kits, these will also be on the shelf. Things are moving along but my question is... what should I concentrate on next?

I still have things on the list that need attention but I want to know what project should be up next.

Each person can vote twice.

Diamond H233B Front Axle w/ D60 outers- This project sounds very cool. However with the 30/35 spline outers you'll almost always be snapping the inner shafts. Inner shafts are much more expensive. Especially since they'll be cut down form 35 spline blanks (if your using the later carrier).

 I picked:
1) 4cyl Atlas- It's time to let the 4cyl guys get the hardcore box.
2) Solid axle Swap kit- Aside from your 3-link kit, calmini is the only option. I like options.

So how far out until the 33 spline locker gets built and mass produced? I would really push that as you'll sell more of these and have a good profit margin compared to the projects. Next, would be the driveshaft adapters since it's simple to produce. SAS kit would be next.

better pricing on 5.857 r&p sets for h233b's. Once youre past a 33" or 35", a 5.13 is kind of weak.

And like Im always asking, a 33 spline Detroit. I just dont trust the lunch box type lockers. I know too many people who have had bad experiences with them.

As usual, thanks Steve. We bought 1st runs of the 3.3 headers and motormounts. You always come thru on great new stuff for us unpopular Nissan folks.

TX10 Doubler. Fits more then one vehicle, and would be a very welcome addition. But then what do I know.  :hit: I just really want one.

Longer braided steel brake lines, covered, with suitable travel for an SAS.

The ones from AC are uncovered (no bonded clear plastic) and while longer and would work, probably wouldn't be long enough for SAS travel.

Hey SteeevO, question, how do I vote twice???? I want to vote again for the doubler.

Also, I happen to have a spare T-case right now with stock gearing, and a may, may have a second one one the way. I would be willing to donate both for this project, if you need them.  Can you tell I want  a doubler?  :D

Cheers,

when you put in your vote you should have been able to select more than one option.

I'm good on the transfer cases thanks though!
The guys that are actually making the doubler are in Australia and already have everything they need... except the down payment for the first batch.. :cover:

No worries, just figured I would offer it up just in case.

I agree with Aaron, what's the down payment, and costs.

the price on the doubler will be around $900 but to get the the whole project going i need to fork over $5K then another chunk of change once they are done.

so what is the minimum order they want for the first batch  ? cause if 6 people paid in full that would cover the 5k

They have to make at least 10 in the first run. yes the 6 orders paid in full would cover the 5K but once the doublers are complete I'd need at least another 3 sold to get them here.

i figured it would be a good chunk of change

Well I guess you would need a sye huh?

Title: Re: What Product should come out next?
Post by: SteeevO on August 16, 2011, 02:11:25 PM
you sure would.
We might be able to make a way to get the one from PArts Mike to mount on there after a sye is installed.
But putting a line lock in a so much more cost effective.

Kenny was suggesting a doubler over the crawler gears, if work plods on, and I can find a rust free pathy I'll be in!

I'd like to see a skid plate set for the wd21..mid skid (in two or three sections) tank skid and front skid....

I'm not sure the 33-spline mechanical locker is worth pushing through.  I think those guys are more prone to run selectables right?  At the very least I don't hear of many guys looking for the 31 spline shafts to run the older mechanical lockers.

I'm all for the Atlas adapter for us 4banger guys but how of us are there?  At Moab I was one of 2 guys with a 4cylinder that I know of, and I know of only a handful of other trucks out there.

I think a TX10 doubler makes a lot of sense, (W)D21s and (W)D22s both use that transfer case, you wouldn't have to cater to 4banger/V6 guys or HB/Fronty guys, it works for all of us.
