Title: Southwest/SoCal Labor Day Weekend Camping & Wheeling Trip
Post by: SlvrGen1_X on August 02, 2011, 09:41:24 AM
Hey everyone,

I’d like to get an idea of who might be interested in a Camping & Wheeling trip over Labor Day Weekend. I have asked around and have gotten a good response from some of the local guys in Vegas and Cali group. This will be family friendly too so feel free to bring your spouses and kids if you'd like.

I haven't decided on an area and I am looking for a few ideas of where that’s not too far of a drive for the Nevada, California, Arizona & Utah guys. I have not wheeled in Cali or AZ so I don't know if there is a camping area nearby that has a few trails that fun. I know that Vegas has quite a few trails around the area, there is Potato Ridge (Red Rock Canyon area), Tie Rod Canyon, Nelson Trail System, Angel Peak Loop, Logandale Trail System, Apex at Nellis Sand Dunes and a few other random trails. There is plenty of camping around the area between Mt Charleston, Lake Mead Rec Area, and Red Rock.

Please feel free to suggest more areas in the Southwest and Southern California for this weekend. I am hoping to get a response from this so everyone can enjoy the great weekend. Below I have attached some links of trails that in the Las Vegas area. I will try to update this more when my computer decides to fully cooperate with me. Thanks!

I'd Really Like to go but I'd like to see a more solid plan.

If it somehow ended up in Big Bear, CA , I you can count me 99% in.
