the only injury was some dude that broke his leg lowering his trailer ramp.
i was thinking a cool thought of running a currie 9" pumpkin up front with ifs and a couble cv shaft so the pumpkin could be mounted in the center for maximum travel. then i could use my dynatrac in the rear with a hydro rear steer setup.

building a IFS rig would be cool. Figuring out the steering, geometry, and spindles would take some research.
We didn't get to see much of the race. a lot of the course was blocked off to spectators. I heard one guy lost is hand saturday night when he rolled is rig on sledge.

not quite $50k oz, where ever you got that info from probably had a typo. they probably cost around $5k built with cv's and all the bling parts. http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/Product596.aspx?id=3497

nope not a typo around 50k in the front diff and somewhere around 12k per axle shaft atleast that is what the guy at shannon's shop told me unless he meant 50k total for the front end

There is a lot of work in making that front end. 50K is probably pretty realistic.

the front half of the truck with the diff, shafts, suspension, and steering i can see it getting towards $50k, but that still seems a little high. i can't imagine why the front would cost so much. what the hell is it made out of?

No matter the cost I'd be curious to see if next year there will be more IFS buggies; since that one won KOH
